Dear MV Salads Family,
I hope your summer has been full of sunshine and fresh flavors. Although I wasn't planning on sending a newsletter during the busy summer season, I have exciting updates I simply couldn’t wait to share!
Our RockWall always attracts amazing photos–but this week's moment tops them all! Dorothy Burnham, a loyal guest who summers in the Campground behind MV Salads, stopped by once again. This March she turned 110 years young, making her a supercentenarian and one of the oldest people in the Untied States. Her RockWall photo? Hands down the coolest one yet!
We were also thrilled to be be chosen to be featured in the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce’s Island Voices Series, highlighting businesses that make the Island special. Please watch the video below. We truly love it.
And voting is now open for the Best of the Vineyard 2026 contest, and we’d love your support once again.
Thank you for being part of our MV Salads community—we hope you enjoy this quick update!
With Kindness,

"This month on Island Voices, we’re shining a spotlight on MV Salads—a vibrant, values-driven eatery in the heart of Oak Bluffs, founded by the inspiring Susanna Herlitz‑Ferguson. More than just a place to eat, MV Salads is rooted in connection—to food, to community, and to the Island itself.
Susanna shares how her passion for kindness, health, and design led to a space where every ingredient tells a story. With fresh produce sourced from local farms like Morning Glory Farm and Mermaid Farm, and featuring locally produced feta from Mermaid Farm, the menu is a true celebration of Martha’s Vineyard’s agricultural bounty. From the iconic RockWall to every hand-tossed bowl, MV Salads is a reminder of how nourishment and community go hand in hand on the Island."

Community Spotlight: Celebrating Dorothy Burnham
|
|
At MV Salads, our Rockwall has become a true community tradition.
From neighbors to visitors, families to celebrities, everyone loves capturing a moment in front of it — and we love celebrating those stories. Of all the wonderful photos, one that inspires us most is of Dorothy Burnham.
A beloved member of the Oak Bluffs Campground community, Dorothy turned 110 years young this March.
When she visited MV Salads this week, she refused the ramp and proudly took the steps herself — a testament to her spirit.
Do you have any RockWall photos you haven't shared with us yet? We'd love to feature you, too — send them to us anytime!
