Welcome!

Often, suicidality is banished to the back of our brains. We are told that the thoughts are unnatural, disproportionate, irrational, and unsafe. We are told, directly or indirectly, not to speak of our suicidality, paired with the threat that whispering wishes of death will get us locked away. Suicide Love Notes was born with the idea of openly holding space for suicidality.

What we do

The Suicide Love Notes program is designed for suicidal people, by suicidal people. In short, we are a virtual art exhibition featuring community submissions. Each month we release a prompt and call for submissions. This is where you come in: we invite you to answer the prompt in whatever way feels best to you (through a quick form submission, a poem, or a piece of visual or audio art). Upon receipt of the submissions our team compiles and publishes them to our online gallery.

We’ve got some beliefs

NO COPS IN CARE

We believe in care, not coercion. This means no cops and no involuntary treatment. Feel free to share your experiences without censorship and fear.

ART HEALS

Art is dope! When we create art, we have the opportunity to share and be seen. When we appreciate others’ art, we know we’re not alone.

COMMUNITY

Censorship and suicidism often prohibit communities of suicidal people from coming together. We aim to actively counter this.
