After graduating from the Vishnevsky Institute of Demography at HSE University, Asem Aldangarkyzy worked at the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Now she is an employee of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Asem Aldangarkyzy gave an interview in which she shared details about choosing a master's programme, the educational process at HSE University, and her academic and professional activities.

The HSE News Service spoke to Prof. Maxim Nikitin, Deputy Director of HSE ICEFand Academic Director of the Master’s in Financial Economics, about the college’s international student body and burgeoning partnerships with foreign universities. We also spoke to Minghao Yan, a graduate from China who was awarded the highest marks for the defence of his master’s thesis on gambling behaviour.

The results of a survey conducted by the staff of the International Office among graduates of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at HSE University in May–June 2025 revealed some interesting patterns regarding the educational trajectories of FES students. A total of 90 bachelor's graduates and 103 master's graduates from FES participated in the survey, accounting for 18.9% of all respondents.

Alexandra Kislyonkova, 27, originally from Kazakhstan, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Informatics from HSE University in St Petersburg. After completing her bachelor's, Alexandra pursued a master’s in the 'Science of Learning and Assessment' programme at HSE University in Moscow. Alexandra is currently a PhD student in the Quantitative Methods, Measurement, and Statistics programme at the University of California, Merced, where she also holds a teaching position in the Psychology programme. Two students, one graduate and one undergraduate, from the HSE Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) programme in ‘Applied Mathematics and Information Science’ won prestigious awards at the International Mathematics Competition for University Students (IMC). Graduate Maksim Kazadaev and first-year student Daria Linichenko both represented HSE University at the IMC, winning gold and silver medals respectively.
