Our favourite feature: The 120mm Thambar lens from the app's Leica lens simulations. First released in 1935, the Thambar was renowned for the unique, dreamlike quality it brought to portraits. The app perfectly recreates this lens's signature ethereal imagery right on your iPhone.

The biggest surprise: The filters in Leica LUX, known as Leica Looks, truly blow us away. Take the black-and-white filter from world-renowned celebrity photographer Greg Williams, created for the app in collaboration with Leica. He spent months developing and refining an algorithm to replicate the unique grain of soft-focus black-and-white film, which reacts to light intensity.
