Alien machines have abducted your loved ones – and in Planet of Lana, you’ll travel far and wide to rescue them. Trek across breathtaking landscapes as a young hero, leaping between craggy cliffs and sneaking through ominous outposts. Join forces with Mui – a catlike critter with a knack for chomping power cords and hypnotising wild beasts – to stop the invasion and save your world.
What we love: The partnership puzzles. Point Mui at a crawlspace to trigger a door switch, then make a run for it past a robot sentry. Or have Mui mesmerise a gigantic creature so you can both use the behemoth’s back to cross a gaping chasm. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Quick tip: There are 10 secret shrines scattered across the world that offer glimpses of your planet’s cryptic past. You’ll find the first one early on, just after tricking the piglike creature into charging off a cliff. Climb down and head to the left of the creature’s body, then enter the hidden cave.
Meet the creator: In 2017, Adam Stjärnljus drew a picture of a girl and a cute animal gazing at an ominous robot on a far-off world – and that ultimately inspired Planet of Lana. Stjärnljus is creative director and cofounder of Sweden’s Wishfully Studios, which spent five years working on the game.
