Secret agents have a way with words—which is just what you’ll need to win Codenames’ spy-versus-spy escapades. In this slick take on the popular tabletop game, give and receive clues to find allied spies concealed in a grid of words without accidentally revealing enemies or assassins. Keep your cover!
What we love: Coming up with killer clues. You could type “animal” to get your teammate to turn over the Dog and Worm cards...but what if Drum is also on the board? Suddenly the light bulb goes on and you type “ear” for “dog-ear,” “earworm,” and “eardrum.” Now that’s a spymaster at work!

Quick tip: Be careful that your clue word doesn’t accidentally match any of the opposing team’s cards. “Blue” would be a great hint if your team has the Whale and Moon cards—but if the other team has Eyes, your teammate might accidentally pick that instead.
