1. I had a breakthrough moment with one of my special need students who impulsively blurts a lot. (I consider a blurt if I can hear them talking when I am or during a test) I turned it into a game. They keep track of how many times they whispers in the day and I will keep track of how many times they blurt. If their whisper tallies beats my blurt tallies, they win an indoor recess (since they don’t like going outside)
Their first question was “Can I talk to myself in a whisper?” My response “Yep! As long as I can’t hear it!”
Yesterdays scores: 53 whispers to 1 blurt (which they apologized for)
Huge win there!
2. These are related and more humorous. We are having a door decorating contest at school related to our SEL curriculum. My class is doing an UP theme. I was looking for a coloring page of Dug with balloons. But I accidentally added an “r” to Dug. So, my work computer has a search for “Drug Balloon Coloring Pages” 🤦♀️
3. Along those lines I was using out die cut machine to make letters for the phrase “Words for lift you up” but in my haste I forgot the letter f in lift. Thankfully I caught it or it would have read “words to lit you up”

- born Magdalene Hollowhill. He’s the youngest of two children w an older brother named Archy.
- He’s the first person in his family to practice magic. Mostly because the rest of his family hates magic and thinks it should be banned.
- His favourite colour is green
- he’s obsessed with studying bugs and insects
- His pefered school of magic is Necromancy
Lucy Shadowbrook (she/her)
- named after a whole of different characters from media named Lucy (Lucy Pevensie, Lucy Grey, Lucy Heartfilia), because I hold the belief that all the best characters are named Lucy.
- she loves all colours but if she had to pick a favourite it would be light pink.
- her mum is a witch and her step dad is her mum’s familiar.
- her favourite school of magic is transfiguration
- Lucy has dark eyes and long black hair that are both described as “dark as midnight”. A contrast to her choice of fashion: colourful dresses that are the match of the rising sun over the sea.
… you see that your posts and follower counts end in “76” and you can just hear your students saying “six seven” even though the numbers are switched. They’d still do it.

Riley is non-binary: when once to describe what being non-binary is like, Riley uses the color purple as an example
She is super close to Gabby and their Grandma, Gigi (Gabby is also her cousin)
Since she lives in Cat Francisco, she is always by the water: the beach is one of her favorite places to be
