In retrospect I kinda did this game dirty and didn't understand the reasoning behind the game mechanics. I am going to give it a real go this time knowing in advance that this game is trying to be very difficult, and for good reason in that you're trying to save an entire village from the plague. I'm not going to kill people because apparently then the reputation system makes the game even harder for you.

The storytelling is abstract, forward-thinking, and interesting inherently. The idea of this game framing the game mechanics around the plot in such an extreme way is pretty admirable and the game deserves a second chance and most likely a higher ranking from me.

So in a way, not liking this game is a testament to my own stupidity, because the game is intentionally doing things most games are scared to do, go against the status-quo of game design.

I will try to finish the game in it's entirety to show I am a real one.

Honestly I love games that are highly modded. Your experience is so customizable.

Although it does suck that this game just needs mods to not crash. It also sucks that this world wasn't expanded upon, because there is a lot of empty space and potential for even more quests and mechanics which sounds weird but seriously, there is so much untapped potential in this game. It's honestly a cardinal sin.

Lets all just imagine a world where this neglected game gets a remaster...

Some things to note, I edited Just Assorted Mods and Tweaks and some of the INI files for individual mods to preference. For example the Harder Strip Access mod, I made it so you need 1000 NCR dollars to use the monorail to go to the strip and disabled monorail access card from a quest. I can sprint without consuming AP points. I also enabled Perk Every Level by adding a config parameter to the Tweaks INI. Stuff like that, like I said this game is very customizable. and I used Mod Organizer 2 as all people should when modding this game. I started with the Viva New Vegas mod list and added a bunch of stuff I wanted to be added, so if you wanted to go super minimal on new mods, install that through Wabbajack. https://vivanewvegas.moddinglinked.com/

I also bought it through GOG.com and put the entire game + mods on an external USB-C SSD and run the game directly from it.
