I’m in mourning.
Like a reptile shedding it’s skin, I am leaving what I once was behind.
I find it necessary to shrug off bad experiences and learn from them.
To take each and every negative particle and apply them to my arms,
my legs, my ass, my heart and my soul.
All of this is in an effort to toughen up to withstand whatever lies ahead for me.

Being asked and since it goes along with the lines of celebrating my own imperfections, I decided to take the “Bare Face Challenge.” No makeup. No photo editing. Simply light and me. Sometimes…less is more.
Sometimes, I just get really tired of trying to make things perfect all the time. In the real world, we are not perfect and if we aren’t blessed with oodles to bankroll what we feel is wrong, we must remain with our imperfections for a lifetime.
Well, from here on out, I will do as little as possible to correct my pixel imperfections. They really have nothing to do with why I take these pictures in the first place — freedom of expression.

Quoting one of my favorite movies, Legend, all things do change.
Take me, for example.
I have retired from the modeling industry which means there will be no more competitions, auditions, challenges nor scratching to try and reach “the top.” I’m perfectly happy right here where I am on my isle of uniqueness where I can totally be myself without reproach.
What will I do now?
Who knows, but photography has caught my eye (pun not intended). Through SL’s lense, I can express myself in ways I never could before. With my sense of fashion and my love of change (I’m currently an Albino — what I wanted to be from the very beginning of my career, but knew I’d never be accepted mainstream), I will reach areas I only dreamed of.
