Hi all, I have an inspired look for you today, built on some new releases and a few favorites. I’ve been wanting to build a look with Milk Motion‘s pants since their release, and it took a bit of time for me to find how I wanted to wear them. I made a pact with myself, that I won’t force myself to post something because it’s new or popular, etc. Only if I’m ‘feeling it,’ if that makes sense. I do this for two reasons: 1) I’ll showcase it as best I can then and 2) This is a lookbook. I share this with you because, as a blogger, to bloggers and fashion affectionados alike, above all, I delight in seeing something worn well and creatively. I realize there are a lot of different types of blogs out there, some mainly do reviews and so the point of them is to showcase ‘fresh stuff,’ so them excluded. (And I thank them for all the hard work and notifying they do for us.) For the rest of us, who cultivate lookbooks, my message to you is take your time and do it how you like it. If your point is to showcase your personal style, nothing will ever be too soon or too late, so just have fun with it and remember to play! Of course, we all have excitement in new finds, that’s different. Just no pressure, this is all in good fun. ^..^
Moving on, by far my favorite new hair by 69 is Beni. I love the striped beret and the sassy, straight-haired bob. It’s one of those hairs that adds just the right dash of personality to a look, and it’s equally fitting when worn with a one-off minidress or pin-straight black jeans. I’m so happy to see 69 back, btw, it’s been ‘too long’ of a wait for me, as I really love Kumii’s work and she does a durn good hat hair!
Giana of GiGi Couture wore these awesome Italiano shoes in her new (fab) jeans ad and I had to find out where to get them! Good timing on our parts, as they were just released today. I love their leather covered platforms and studding and all the options that come with them. (The shoe changes to black/red/white/brown.) Definitely a statement shoe (but not obnoxiously so), and one that is just classically edgy enough to be ‘forever current.’ Also ‘yay’ for awesome new shoe brands! If this is the first release for this brand, I’ll surely want to see more from Italiano.
DeLa released this Chanel clutch recently, and I love it! A classic, hard-shell shape with a feminine bow. One of those things you can dress up or down and wear with both pants and dresses. It makes a great party clutch, but even more so, adds some femininity to my tomboy pants and hard-nosed shoes.
The Albero summer fest is going on and there are some great new items out from some of my favorite stores like Fishy Strawberry and RunoRuno. You can’t really see it, but under my shirt is Barbee‘s Albero exclusive bikini. The red color is refreshing, since most of barbee’s line is black and white. Also on offer are these great new loose, drapey cardigans and I love them! I’ll be featuring them in a look soon, for sure.
One last note, the Harajuku Box skin fair is going on until the 28th, so be sure to stop in and grab all the limited edition offerings from Curio, Blowpop, League, 5th & Oxford, My UglyDorothy (pictured) and more. There are some mega cute skins available and you have to check them out. I like fairs like this, because it really brings designers out of their box and you see a lot of makeups you wouldn’t normally expect. Wewt. <33Love, Abra

I love glamour and style. I also love the outdoors and nature. This is a fun, fantastic outfit with a little bit of rough edging. I wouldn’t have it any other way! ;))
My Irish Cottage made a good backdrop for the shoot. It’s always fun (in my opinion, the *best*) to shoot at home. It’s just such a warm, comfortable way to get things done. ;p
The skin is from the fabulous [/ NoLabel /] store, which I adore. Everything in the store is amazing and you won’t be disappointed. The skin is a new favorite for sure, as are the Poetic Colors eyes. A-mazing and unequaled in SL. The bag is from the new Cachet line everyone’s talking about, and with good reason. It really is that good! The rest is a compilation of favorites. You can never go wrong, so long as you love what you wear! xo

I was just about to pop offline and snuggle under my covers when I saw the notice for the Diversity Hair Skin Hunt! Aleri Darks has just opened a super-mondo-huge store = wayy more goodies for us to browse over. Yay!

Camping madness

Halloween is proving to be a very generous holiday, especially in SL. I am currently camping away at ::69:: (49, 180, 511) for some amazingly cute Halloween themed treats. I have one left so come on down and say hello! If you aren’t part of the group you’ll have to wait until the 7th to join for your camping goodies. This is to allow current members to get their candy on first.
For me camping starts off so innocently. I’ll check my email, maybe look at some Flickr photos, upload some too. And of course, blog!
Then it gets dirty once I discover that my inventory is a complete mess and I must clean it and try on everything that I have ignored or haven’t gotten around to wearing yet. All those file names…I’d nearly forgotten what that was, etc. etc.
And the evolution of my outfit continues. I become the mad woman (or madly dressed woman) sitting next to you while we wait for our candy. Feel free to say hello as I try on clothes like I’m alone in my bedroom.
You see, I admire you and your patience. You sit so nicely in the chair, while politely ignoring this fashion tornado next to you. Sometimes you even say hello and ask me where I got that hair, boots, etc. You are too kind. Thank you.
Thank you to Kumii Yoshikawa @ ::69:: for giving us all some amazing camping prizes. Everything is so colorful and well made. You can’t help but fill with the happiness of a child when you put on hair like this!
Things to do while camping:
- writing/blogging
- flickr uploads
- unpacking boxes (god willing, there are building allowances where you are)
- shopping, yes…I am too funny right? Pan the camera, grab some demos and try on some stuff.
- IMs, of course. Entertain me my friends!
Beachy Keen

After the last autumn flavored post I thought I would return to the beach for a while to soak up some sun. I love this outfit! It’s kiddish while showing off my curves. Fun fun.
These boots are a new release from Kurotsubaki and they are cuter than can be! The little feathers and laces on the sides are a nice touch, as is the leather banding. Scoop up a pair in your favorite color and wear them with tucked in pants, leggings and skirts, long skirted dress…all autumn long.

Contrast makes good style

I love a little contrast in my outfits. Whether that means sharp hair with a feminine dress.
Or a cutesy pie look stained in blood.
I like a little danger in my clothes. A comfy cardigan is a great wardrobe staple. If you throw in some tomboy shorts and spiked boots, maybe a little blood, suddenly your basic cardigan feels a bit exciting!
A little sex, a little sweetness. Contrast gives things a good balance.
Contrast can make a person see things in a whole different light. Take this dress for example. It’s perfectly wonderful in a goth sort of way, but look here, it can be worn very sweetly with a tan and pigtails.
Maybe you’re a bored with your outfits. Same old, same old you feel. We’ve all been there! Sometimes all it takes is a ‘trigger piece’ to make your wardrobe new again. Maybe that means a new skin or a new hair, maybe shoes. Sometimes all it means is playing with your clothes and pairing unlikely pieces together. A lacy gown with a leather bomber jacket and boots, perhaps? Or jeans with your sexiest, most feminine corset? Yes and yes.
Playing with style is so fun, and contrast makes it all the more interesting!
