The faculty and alumni of the Public Administrative Program of UNC Charlotte has created a scholarship to honor the memory of Sharon Jarrett Thacker, the beloved former President and CEO of Family Service of Roanoke Valley. The Sharon Jarrett Thacker Scholarship for Creative Nonprofit Leadership will continue her mission for “a new generation of innovative and passionate leaders to be ready to handle whatever the future may hold.”
They are close to their goal of $25,000! We invite you to support this endeavor and are grateful to UNC Charlotte for providing this funding annually to a Public Administration Student at UNCC who will
be chosen after demonstrating a passion for
service and an intentional plan to pursue a
career in the nonprofit sector.
