We the signers of this petition hereby call for:

Immediate halt of Empire Wind and all other offshore wind lease site
construction activities off the East Coast of the United States

Cancellation of all offshore wind leases, including all those issued off the East Coast and NY/NJ Bight:                                                                   Empire Wind, Atlantic Shores, Orsted/OceanWind, Leading Light, Attentive, Community,Bluepoint, Vineyard Offshore

Department of Justice to cease defending lawsuits challenging the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s (BOEM) permitting decisions for all offshore wind development projects.

• Offshore wind development has and will continue to:
       Cause irreversible ecological damage to our marine
       environment and protected species;
       Place National Security at risk;
       Interfere with radar and sonar and introduce mariner
       and aviation safety hazards;
       Harm the fishing industry;
       Destroy our coastal community tourism economies;
       Compromise energy market economics;
       Enrich foreign corporations and governments with U.S. tax- and rate-payer dollars.
