Happy Spring Beloveds,
There’s been a lot of chat about the art of Wu Wei, especially in our Classes.
So, I thought I might share a little reflection with you.
The art of effortless non doing does not come 2nd nature to me. I am a Capricorn with 5 planets in Cap. Let’s just say it’s in my bones to “get shit done”! Lol.
So, practicing Wu Wei is in fact an art form for me. It feels good not to chase, or always have to be “doing.” Thank Goddess for my meditation practice.
However, even in my meditation practice, my doer brain still transmits that, “now, I am doing my meditation”.
Aligning with the natural flow of life rather than forcing outcomes represents intelligent spontaneity—acting in harmony with the present moment. It’s maximum efficiency with minimal, non-forced effort.
And it’s Trust.
It’s trusting that everything is happening for us.
And it’s letting go.
It’s letting go of control-
controlling out comes and instead, Trusting that whatever is flowing will flow organically without effort.
Aligning with the frequency is the medicine.
It feels good to be in the energy of Wu Wei. It challenges the “what if” brain, and settles the nervous system.
I practice by listening. Deep listening. I listen for the calls in the wind and the call in my heart.
I align with the synchronicities.
I spring into action with effortless ease, guided in every step. Not by ego, nor from a place of "not enoughness", but from a place of grounded presence.
As Aries begins to poke as us, wanting our inner fire horse to spring into action, let's remember Wu Wei.
The art of Wu Wei allows us to see where we over do and where we are in reaction instead of conscious action.
Our actions, (if coming from a calm and clear place of knowing our core values and life purpose) become conscious actions based on who we are and who we are becoming.
This is our TRUE Responsibility.
However if we are responding from a place of reaction, we have to question if we are acting from guilt, shame, unworthiness or if we are we standing on the triangle of disempowerment. This is when the doer goes into overdrive.
We want to live from actuated awareness, not from old patterns.
Awareness is a key component on our healing journey, however, to have actuated awareness means that we are, in fact, acting from that awareness. If action is coming from a place of a trigger or a reaction then this can become imbedded within the muscle memory, which in turn perpetuated the pattern!
Oftentimes, we see those patterns so deeply entrenched that they become stuck in muscle memory.
So we ask, can the action of over doing, that is related to our sense of worthiness be stored in the muscles? Absolutely.
However, so can Wu Wei.
We just have to keep practicing!
Are you in the flow of non doing? Or you in the chase of the race?
Just some thoughts on a glorious Spring afternoon.
From My Heart To Yours,
Starr Shontere
