Koonzime 1998 Edition (OZMTBL)

Overview

The Koonzime 1998 Edition, titled “Kálar Nzyɛ̌m : Ejwán é Sáá” in the vernacular, is a New Testament translation in the Koonzime language of eastern Cameroon, published in 1998. [1] The translation was produced by the Cameroon Association for Bible Translation and Literacy (CABTAL), a faith-based organization that has been working in Cameroon for over 35 years and has completed 35 New Testaments across various Cameroonian languages. [2] Koonzime (ISO 639-3: ozm) is a Narrow Bantu language of the Makaa-Njem (A.80) group within the Njemic branch. [3] The language has two recognized dialects, Badwe’e and Nzime, and is spoken by approximately 40,000 people in southeastern Cameroon. [3] A second digital edition of this translation, titled “Kálara Zyɛ̌m Edwán é mpʉ̌n” in the Badwe’e dialect, is also available. [1]
