Coming back to Athens
Hi! My name is Julia and I’m from Poland. My adventure with Athens started almost 2 years ago. I came here in 2017 to study on National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as part of the Erasmus programme. It was an amazing experience for me. I met people from all over the world and it helped me to become more open-minded and self-confident. It was a great adventure for me and one of the reason I started looking for another project in Athens.
I really fell in love with that city, Greek culture and food of course! Participation in the Erasmus programme motivated me to take part in more initiatives like that. After coming back to Poland I became a volunteer in ESN in my city and I decided to be a mentor of incoming Erasmus students. That was another great experience for me. I met a lot of great people and made some friends. But I wanted to do more so I started looking for other opportunities and this is how I found EVS and started being a volunteer in HYP. It is a totally new experience for me but I enjoy it so far. From the very beginning I was involved in many interesting activities in organization. I also had a chance to meet other volunteers and participate in their projects which was fun and we could integrate. This is how my another adventure has started and I hope it is not the last one.
