First Light on the Hiwassee On March 28th, we gather at the river’s edge for an evening shaped by intention, beauty, and the quiet magic of early spring. We call this evening First Light — a celebration of beginnings. The shift of seasons. The soft return of warmth. The gentle awakening along the water’s edge. The menu moves as the day does, beginning in brightness and unfolding course by course toward a warm and glowing evenfall. A true cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm on the patio — Chef’s Opening Amuse – Four Bites, coastal-inspired sips, and the soft glow of Edison lights on the lawn. The fireplace burning, setting the perfect ambiance for the evening. At 6:30pm, we move inside for a thoughtfully curated five-course coastal tasting, where candlelight flickers across an intimate long table as each course unfolds — carefully paired, intentionally served, and timed to carry you from the brilliant light of early evening to night’s gentle close, fostering connection, conversation, and shared discovery. This is not just dinner. It is a slow unfolding. A gathering. A moment of first light… and the glow of evenfall. $125 per person includes a quartet of Amuse-Bouche at cocktail hour, a seasonal tasting progression with intentional wine pairings and an evening of memories to last a lifetime.
