Please read this agreement in its entirety before signing.
Spray Tanning by use of DHA (darkening agent) is generally considered to be safe and has been FDA approved if you follow guide lines to protect mucous membranes. You may request measures to protect your mucous membranes and prevent inhalation. You will remove your clothing up to your level of comfort. Where you have clothing, you will have tan lines. Spa undergarments will be available to you. The solution will wash out of most clothing. Nudity is accepted for all women if you prefer to not have tan lines. It is best to wear dark, loose fitted clothing to your appointment. It is advised to wash the undergarment or clothing worn as soon as possible after your session. By signing, you understand that there is a chance that the solution may transfer to your clothing and stain it. You will be provided aftercare instructions by your spray tan artist.
All people, all skin, is different. All ingredients used in this procedure are intended for cosmetic use and generally regarded as safe. There are, however, occasions where individuals may be allergic to one or more ingredients in the spray tan solution. For example, caramel in the coloring. Please discuss any allergies with your technician.
Be advised there is a small percentage of people whose skin may not react favorably to spray tanning. For this reason, I do NOT advise being sprayed for the first time when your appearance is critical; (wedding/special occasion/prom) Please schedule a trial session 30 days before your event, for best results.
• Pregnant or nursing women may consult their physician before tanning. Spray tanning is not normally contraindicated, when a mask or nose filters are used as per FDA recommendation. But each pregnancy is different and your medical care provider may prefer a more cautious approach based on your specific needs and health concerns. Out of an abundance of caution, I recommend not spray tanning in the 1st trimester.
• Warning – This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin to U.V. Light may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.
• I understand that if I have a current sunburn or peeling skin (within the last 2 weeks) that my spray tan may not develop properly. It may appear patchy and can accelerate the peeling process. It is strongly advised that you cancel your spray tan appointment and let your skin heal if you are sunburnt.
• PREP: Exfoliate with an oil-free body wash and an exfoliating mitt. I strongly advise against using Dove or Olay body wash as it can negatively affect the color of your tan. Shave 24 hours prior to your spray session for optimal processing results. If you choose to wax, please do so 24-48 hours prior. Do not put on any lotion after your shower.
• DAY OF: Showering is recommended 3 hours or more before appointment. Your skin should be free of: make-up, deodorant, sweat, fragrances, lotions, oils, jewelry.
• AFTER CARE: Put on loose fitted & dark colored clothing immediately after your spray tan. Rinse at the time given to you by your spray tan artist, with NO soap- just a quick ‘warm water rinse’ until the water going down the drain runs clear. Your tan will continue to develop over the next 24 hours. Once fully developed, moisturize twice daily and wash with spray tan safe products for longer-lasting results. We recommend unscented Aveeno body wash and lotion, Hempz or CeraVe lotion, Native or Raw brand body wash.
• If you attend your appointment without proper preparation or attire, I cannot guarantee satisfactory results.
*Please be sure to tell your spray tan artist if you are on any medications or have a history of dizziness/fainting/migraines.
