[Mentor/Volunteer RSVP] KORE College Insight Day 2026
HELLO!!

Thank you for showing interest in volunteering for our annual KORE College Insight Day! We greatly appreciate whatever help you can provide in making sure this event goes smoothly.

College Insight Day is KORE's first big event of the year. This event is a day long (from 7:15AM to 3:30PM), and our goal is to give LBUSD students a chance to explore UCLA alongside KORE and current UCLA students. Through College Insight Day, we hope to give these students an in-person opportunity to learn more about college preparation and college life.

As a part of the event, we will be offering opportunities to explore college life led by the mentors! This includes:
1. Giving the students an opportunity to shadow you in order to experience what a true "Day in the Life of a College Student" is! This will include going with you to your classes, so prepare to snatch some extra seats in your lectures and discussions! We're hoping to construct a more personal experience in order to give the students a realistic idea of what college life will entail while leaving room for their abundant curiosity.

2. We will also be conducting dorm tours and giving the students a taste of our dining halls! A lot of us in high school were worried about what the housing and food situation would be like once we entered college, so giving the students an opportunity to get their questions answered would be helpful for them. We intend on showing them through the different dorm types as well as the food that's offered in a typical dining hall.
