Prestige Champions Cup Edition  - Player Entry Application Guidelines

Overview

The 2nd Prestige Champions Cup (PCC) will take place in January 2026. This document outlines the application process, tournament structure, fees, and important details for players interested in competing.

Player Application

• Eligibility: This application is for players wishing to participate in the PCC. Note that completion of the application DOES NOT guarantee selection.

• Age Groups: There are 64 spots available per age group for GIRLS U/14, U/16, and U/19.

• Players turning 13 and 14 in 2026 may apply for the U/14 division.

• Players turning 15 and 16 in 2026 may apply for the U/16 division.

• Players turning 17, 18, or 19 in 2026 may apply for the U/19 division.
  
  1st year varsity students are also eligible to play should they fall into the U/19 age group.
  
  

• Notification: Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email or WhatsApp - Parents will be notified

• Team Composition: After the selection and confirmation of 64 players for each age group, the tournament director, franchise owners and coaches will begin the process of assembling the teams. The primary objective during this selection phase is to ensure that all upcoming matches are highly competitive. This involves carefully evaluating players' skills, strengths, and potential to create balanced teams that will challenge each other effectively during the season. The goal is to foster an environment where each game is engaging, encouraging player development and team dynamics, all under high intensity. 
  
  N.B Some U/16s may be moved up to U/19 at management's discretion. 

  Applications Closing Date: 20 October 2025 , subject to quality of entries. 

Tournament Format

• The tournament will feature:

• 3 Round Robin matches

• Semi-Final match

• Bronze Medal match

• Final match

• Teams will be released by 20 November 2025

Franchises

Participants will be divided into the following four franchises:

1. Dragons

2. Otters

3. Dolphins

4. Macaws

  2.) HMS Bloemhof

  17/18 January 2026 : Training Day
  
  Tournament Match Dates:

• Friday 23 January 2026

• Saturday 24 January 2026 - Starting time on this day is 12h00 to accommodate those who have athletics, water polo or any other prior commitments in the morning. 

• Sunday 25 January 2026

Terms and Conditions

• Total Cost: R2200, which includes the tournament kit.

• Deposit: R1000 required upon registration or by 31 October. This will be deducted from the total fee. Failure to pay the deposit will result in disqualification for selection.

Refund Policy

• If Not Accepted: Deposit is refundable.

• If Accepted: Deposit becomes non-refundable to cover kit orders.

Payment Deadlines

• Deposit Deadline: All deposits must be paid upon registration or by  31 October 2025. Participants who do not meet this deadline will be disqualified.

• Balance Due: The remaining  must be paid by  28 November 2025.

Additional Kit Orders

• Extra kit can be ordered via the kit registration form. Payments for additional items are required alongside the deposit and will also be refundable if the player is not selected.

Important Notes

• No Changes Allowed: Submitted applications cannot be modified after 31 October 2025.

• Payment Details: Bank account information for payments will be included on the kit order form.
