The current situation when "Check updates..." does not check the app update is confusing.
We should rename it to "Check for Filter Updates" to make clear what it does.
We should also add the "Check for Updates..." button that will simply open the "About"
"Check for Updates..." starts checking program updates in the background and shows a toast notification with the result. Click on the notification opens the "About" screen or the update dialog depending on the result.
These two buttons should be in a separate group in the tray menu (currently, "check updates" is in the same group as advanced settings).
