About GO4FUSION
GO4FUSION is an important European project supported by the European Commission through the Euratom Coordination and Support Action (Grant Agreement 101212737). Its goal is to bring together a wide range of European fusion stakeholders, preparing the foundation for a future Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on Fusion Energy as part of the Euratom Research and Training Programme. By creating a unified platform, GO4FUSION helps accelerate innovation, align different stakeholders, and drive collective efforts to make fusion energy a reality.
Context
Fusion energy offers a clean, sustainable, and virtually limitless
power source, crucial for
decarbonizing Europe’s energy sector and ensuring long-term energy security.
As Europe faces growing energy demands, fusion energy is seen as a pivotal solution to reduce
dependency on fossil fuels. Achieving this goal, however, requires continued research and
development alongside a strong commitment to collaboration between the public and private
sectors.
The European Commission is committed to supporting and fostering the European fusion community
and industry, taking decisive steps to strengthen and advance the EU’s technological leadership
in this field.
