Hello everyone. Thank you for stopping by at this fundraiser. My name is Wael Abu Rida, a member of the Abu Rida family. The goal of this fundraiser is to evacuate my family members to safety over the border from Gaza to Egypt. The situation in Gaza is extremely serious. It is heartbreaking that our family home was bombed, and our lives, hopes and dreams were crushed under the rubble. Due to this, my family is displaced in a refugee camp in Rafah. After the genocide started I was luckily able to evacuate to safety. My goal since then has been to get my family safely over the border to Egypt. My family needs to get to safety, every single member, so we can all live together in peace. All we want is basic human rights and dignity. But because of the bombings, we have no means to work for salary, so we need to turn to the kind people all over the world for donations. Unfortunately, the Egyptian travel agency charges 5000 $ per adult and 2500 $ per person under 17 years old. Every donation counts, as little as 5$ can help save the lives of my family. The family consists of people of all ages. Toddler, a newborn, a pregnant mother, teenagers and young people with the future ahead of them, adults who have been raising their family for many years and long for a calm family life where everyone is together, and an elderly woman with many medical problems in dire need of doctor’s attention.
