Our sweet angel Harley has begun the exciting, but daunting, journey towards top surgery, and we need your help to raise the funds!

Harley has needed gender-affirming top surgery for a long time, but instability with visas, and steep out of pocket costs have made it impossible to access. It’s beyond amazing that Harley is now in a stable place with visas and work to consider this life-changing operation.

Harley is a kind and caring friend, partner and dog dad. We are so lucky to have them in our lives, and if you’ve met them, you know how loyal and generous they are.

As we all know, there is a significant financial burden that comes with surgery. Of course this should be covered by medicare, but as it isn’t, we are reaching out to our beautiful community to help raise funds.

The numbers:

Surgeon fee: $9,900

Anaesthetist fee: $2,500

Hospital stay: To be determined (may be covered by insurance)

Anticipated rebate: $1,690

Based on these figures, plus allowing for some additional out of pocket expenses such as transport, time off work, post-surgery medications etc, we estimate total costs to be $13,000.
