My name is Elissa. I have 61 rescue dogs, one being Buddy aka Skippy J Jones. We rescue death row dogs. He was set to be euthanized in San Antonio in August 2022. He is only about 6, he has an arrow head in his spine making him paralyzed and he has a giant tumor on his front shoulder and neck. Leaving one good leg. We are working with our vet, oncologist. He is a fighter and we need funds to help him fight. I am a disabled veteran and haven't been able to work in 5 years. We need all the help we can get. Please share and donate. Help us help Buddy
Update: From our vet:
Morning. These are Skippy's results. The FNA cytology came back as a malignant round cell tumor- suspicious of a histiocytic sarcoma. Unfortunately, prognosis is considered guarded to grave for most dogs with this type of cancer. This type of cancer primarily causes destructive mass formation in the organ(s) involved. It commonly metastasize to lymph nodes, liver, or lungs. Surgery is recommended when metastasis hasn't happened, but because of the location of the mass- I would not recommend surgery. Plus high rate of recurrence. It is potentially responsive to radiation. If radiation is pursued, chemo is also added to the protocol. I can get you a referral to the oncologist to see what they say is a possible option. There is a palliative option of long term steroids, but the issue is this mass does not respond well to oral steroids. Let me know what your thoughts are.
So funds are desperately needed.
