Tab navigation allows users to jump quickly between links on a web page using the Tab key. Most popular web browsers allow this by default, but the Safari browser requires a small settings change to enable the feature.
Open Safari and go to Settings (or press Cmd + ,).
Navigate to the Advanced pane.
Check the box next to "Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage."
You can also use Option + Tab at any time to highlight links without changing your settings.
