Previous institutions that sought inequity towards various minority groups continue to thrive in its unjust nature in modern times. This unethical treatment instilled vengeance within me after I witnessed a loved one succumb to this injustice. Anger persuaded my actions, but love ensured my longevity. As my mind settles in a reflexive state, my perception veers toward my desire to shift the narrative. The advocacy for change is a rigorous mission that is not suitable for the faint of heart. Realizing this, forms a question on my tongue. Will I be the queen that uplifts the generational curse from her people, or fall victim to its endless cycle?
