Join us as we celebrate Women's History Month with a resource fair, followed by a movie screening & panel discussion. This event is open to all and presents an opportunity to view the film, “Salt of the Earth (1954),” a powerful story of classism, racial injustice and feminist resistance in America. A 30-minute discussion about the labor movement will take place immediately following the film. The resource fair will be open prior to the film screening.--- 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Women's Resource Fair

New statue to celebrate an individual of Italian heritage with a lasting legacy; chosen after an intentional, thoughtful community engagement process, and review of the top three nominations CHICAGO – The Chicago Park District and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) are thrilled to announce that Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini will be memorialized in a new monument to be installed at Arrigo Park, 801 S. Loomis St.
