An earthquake struck our lives and turned them into hell. Two and a half years ago, we were a happy family living a dignified life. We enjoyed a very good financial situation; all our basic needs were met, along with some comforts. My father had a well-paying job, my mother managed our home, and I was working in several professions as an English teacher, trainer, and translator. My siblings were at different stages of life—some were children, some were in school, and others were attending university—and we were all in good health.
