Join Autumn Rain Healing on March 18th to experience creative, trauma-informed movement rooted in yoga and dance, designed to foster somatic awareness through simple, accessible pathways. Date: Wednesday, March 18 Time: 10:30am - 12:00 pm Location: SUB 3-02 (Interfaith Centre) Yoga mats and blocks will be available for those who don't have one. Be sure to dress in comfortable, movement-friendly clothing!đ§ This session is offered by miyomahcihowin in partnership with the Indigenous Students' Union (ISU). Indigenous Student Climb Night Registration
Join us at the Wilson Climbing Centre on March 4th to meet other Indigenous students, try out climbing, and/or hone your skills in a welcoming environment. Admission is free, with equipment and instruction provided. Please wear stretchy clothing for ease of movement; work-out clothing is OK. Drop-ins are welcome (space permitting), but we encourage registering to secure your spot! đ§ââď¸đđ Date: Wednesday, March 4 Time: 5:00pm - 7:00 pm Location: Wilson Climbing Centre (North Campus, inside Van Vliet Complex) This session is offered by miyomahcihowin in partnership with the Indigenous Students' Union (ISU). Nominate a member of the Indigenous Students' Union for the Monthly Student Spotlight, which is featured in the ISU Newsletter and posted in the ISU lounge. Nominate yourself, a friend, or anyone you think should be featured in our monthly spotlight. Who are members of the Indigenous Students' Union? Indigenous Members of the Indigenous Students' Union are individuals who: 1. Are registered as full- or part-time students at the University of Alberta. 2. Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, MĂŠtis, or Inuit). 3. Have paid the Aboriginal Students' Council Dedicated Fee Unit (DFU). Non-Indigenous Members of the Indigenous Students' Union are individuals who: 1. Have contacted the ISU Executive team to join. Nominated students that are chosen as the Student of the Month will receive a $25 giftcard to a business of their choice!
