Come together to Defend Democracy. The people have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, across every community determined to defend democracy. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us. *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Join Engaged Defenders for Democracy and this mighty group of nonviolent demonstrators for Woke Wednesdays: Chatham who have been consistently been on the corner since July on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30. The group gathers at Old Farrington Rd and Whippoorwill Lane. Park along Whippoorwill Lane on the southeast side of the intersection. Please join them at the intersection of Whippoorwill Lane and Farrington Mill Road. This is a nonviolent demonstration. Please bring positive signs noting what we are for. We are for Freedom of Speech. We are for Rights for All. We are for Democracy. Join others at 4:00 this Thursday afternoon, February 19, by Cole Park Plaza - on the sidewalk in front of MacDonalds. We had 12 people take part in the first event, and got lots of positive reactions from all the cars passing by. Bring your high visibility signs, flags and good will. We can make a difference and raise people's awareness.
