The International Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1957 as a result of the amalgamation of the Port Huron String Ensemble (Michigan) and the Little Orchestra Society of Sarnia (Ontario). Both communities realized they were too small to establish and support separate orchestras, but believed that a collaboration might work. And it did, so began a rich international co-operative venture that continues to this day. From a humble inception of only two concerts a year, the orchestra’s activities have evolved to the present season, which includes; 12 series performances, several Cushion Concerts, Chamber Presentations, youth education concerts and a number of live performances, cultural, community oriented events at The ISObar CANADA 519-337-7775 USA 810-984-8857 FAX 519-337-1822 POST 143 Christina Street North, Sarnia, ON Canada N7T 5T8 POST 323 Erie Street Port Huron MI, USA 48061-5105 We are a not for profit and registered charity in both the USA and Canada
