This is about a quest to walk the same places as our ancient ancestors. It explores where they left traces and follows the trails walked by these first pioneers. By doing so provides a link to a formative time and increases our connection with the natural world. ‘Walking Through Time’ takes you on a journey through some awe-inspiring locations. Bringing together two facets of Portugal, the diverse and beautiful landscape, and the fascinating and hugely important prehistoric sites. This channel accompanies our forthcoming book of the same name told through 18 walks through ancient places; starting from the earliest known visitors and then, to the time of the Neanderthal and the dramatic places they took refuge. Exploring the forgotten migrations and unspoken stories of the journeys of our prehistoric cousins. It takes you back to a time of great change and to the places where modern humans and Neanderthals met. The start of our epic journey begins here.
