“I wear my pump with pride”: Diabetes technology hopes to improve quality of life for people with cystic fibrosis-related diabetes | Health Care Research Wales
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is taking part in a UK-wide research study which has enabled people with cystic fibrosis and diabetes to access closed-loop insulin systems, to help improve their blood sugar management and quality of life.

A study led by a PhD researcher is exploring how people living with severe and enduring mental health conditions experience community life and what forms of support they truly value. Sharon Hutchings, a PhD student in the School of Health Sciences at Bangor University, is leading a project that focuses on the social dimensions of mental health - an area she believes is too often eclipsed by medical and clinical perspectives.

Dr Marchant has been awarded a Social Care Research Fellowship by Health and Care Research Wales to lead the study.
