Roberta Faceplant is a honky tonk hurricane from Philadelphia. Safely in the middle of a Venn diagram where kitsch meets bitch, the five-piece Outlaw Americana band has been called “a cowpunk miracle” and been compared to “Southern Culture on the Skids fronted by Laura Bell Bundy.” It’s Country, but you can hear the city. Raucous guitars, a driving rhythm section, and the raw, powerful, and soulful vocals of frontwoman Katie Feeney make Roberta Faceplant a five-fingered fist of Country grit. Lyrically, Feeney and the band pull no punches, tackling current events with tongue in cheek humor and rage. Peppered with Bob Seger-style working-man themes and a dose of Southern Rock, the band still holds tight to the true spirit of country music - three chords and the truth.
