The Ruth Podcast
In 1933, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was born. She would go on to become a gender equality and feminist icon on the U.S. Supreme Court, inspiring people across the globe. Justice Ginsburg, dubbed "RBG," would release firey dissents and become one of the most well-known feminists in history. But following her death on September 18, 2020, we were devastated—and so were so many feminists and people around the world who looked up to her. It was that night that we started the Ruth Project, a national gender equity advocacy organization that has worked with hundreds of feminists around the world. In this episode, we tell RBG's story—and our own. For the very first episode of the Ruth Podcast, Ruth Project Founder & Executive Director Julia Squitteri (she/her) and Outreach Director Julie Wilson (she/her) walk you through some of the key moments of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life and how they have propelled movements, organizations, and individuals to join the fight for gender equity.
