Guide to Making and Selling Bead Bracelets for Extra Money

1. Gather Your Materials
Beads: Choose glass, wooden, stone, or plastic beads depending on your style and budget.
Elastic cord or wire: Use jewelry elastic for stretch bracelets or beading wire for clasped ones.
Clasps (optional): Toggle, lobster, or magnetic clasps if you’re using wire.
Crimp beads and pliers: For securing wire-ended bracelets.
Scissors: To cut elastic or thread.
Glue (optional): A small dab of jewelry glue can secure knots.

2. Design Your Bracelet
Decide on a pattern or theme (e.g., color blocks, alternating sizes, or charms).
Measure your wrist size and add about 1 inch for comfort.
Lay out your beads in the desired order on a flat surface or bead board.

3. Assemble the Bracelet
For Elastic Bracelets:
Cut elastic about 3 inches longer than your wrist size.
String your beads in the planned pattern.
Tie a secure knot (surgeon’s knot is recommended).
Add a drop of glue to the knot if desired, then trim excess cord.

For Wire Bracelets with Clasps:
Cut wire about 4 inches longer than your wrist size.
Attach one end of the clasp with a crimp bead and pliers.
