Using molecular and bioinformatics methods, I aim to understand how land-use change impacts soil microbial communities and their ecosystem services. Born in Brazil, I have a deep passion for working with tropical environments, particularly the Amazon. My research focuses on: (1) microbial roles in greenhouse gas cycling, (2) the interplay between soil and human health, and (3) microbial potential for microplastic degradation.
