A very special evening centered around "Between Gigs", a short film and soundtrack written and performed by donSMITH. Through striking visuals and a hauntingly beautiful score, the film explores the tension between purpose and survival, creativity and capitalism. It’s a story that will resonate with anyone who’s ever given their all to something that didn’t quite pay the bills. Following the screening, donSMITH will perform the film’s original soundtrack live as a jazz trio, along with select tracks from the accompanying album. Come experience the music in full color—improvised, intimate, and deeply alive. donSMITH is a multidisciplinary musician, writer and visual artist keen on telling raw, urban narratives in a vulnerable fashion. *All event proceeds go directly to the performers* The space is BYOB - feel free to bring bev of choice
