Being Human is the UK’s only national festival of the humanities, showcasing the diversity of the humanities with an injection of creativity and festival fun. The festival was established in 2014 to create a platform to share cutting edge research in the humanities with non-specialist audiences in ways that are accessible, engaging, and fun. The festival is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London – the UK’s national centre for the support of researchers and the promotion of research in the humanities. Being Human runs in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
