guest lecture by Rev. Dr. Edgar Rivera Colon titled, "A Summer of Resistance: Los Angeles in Four Frames." This summer, labor leaders, clergy, artists, activists and others launched a "Summer of Resistance" against the brutal raid operations in Home Depot parking lots, car wash establishments, against street vendors, and community arrests in the region's working class and immigrant enclaves.  

His presentation will be followed with discussant remarks by Dr. Lauren Heidbrink, Professor in the Deptartment of Human Development. She will share information about her latest research in immigration court and exciting opportunity for students to conduct court-watching in the Spring.
