Reconnecting with Nature is the most important public health intervention of our time. Science has shown how our bodies are shaped by our environment.

đ We sat down with doctor and neuroscientist Dr James Bashford to talk about his new book, âNature Withinâ, which is out today. In the book Dr Bashford explores not only the effects of Nature on the brain đ§ and body, but also the effect of a disconnect from Nature, as is commonly seen in our modern lives. Whilst the project started as a way to recharge his own mind amid a busy work schedule, he soon learned how a stronger connection with Nature benefits human health more broadly. "Although I tackle some big themes in Nature Within, I have drawn on my practical experiences as a neurologist and clinical researcher wherever possible," commented Dr Bashford. "I have tried to distill my growing concerns about the health of our planet into something that can hopefully make me a more compassionate doctor and scientist." | 11 comments on LinkedIn
