Best steak i've ever had, brother CAN COOK. Steak is imported from argentina and all other dishes were rly rly good and authentic too.

I think the steak is a must for steak lovers, and i recommend the empanadas and the ravioli!

It is touristy prices in a touristy area.
But its worth it, 10/10

The owner was also super nice and fun to talk to, could speak chinese which caught me off guard 😂

You don't expect to see an Argentinian place in Kyoto. Definitely not one so authentic. El Bodegon and the team got it just right. Every bite is delicious, the drinks are perfectly balanced, and the customer service is on point. This little escape is a must visit and a place we will return to. Thankyou Diego and the team for being so lovely. What a great experience.

I wanted to make a special mention to this place in Gion Kyoto : El Bodegón.
The very nice japanese owner, who speaks good english, is very knowledgeable about gluten because her argentinian husband is intolerant to gluten. She offered me gluten free pasta (they change the cooking oil & water) eventhough it's not on the menu. She asked me what topping I wanted, I told her I would have whatever the chef would make and ended up with a delicious onion/zucchini/chili pepper/shrimp broth pasta. Argentinian meat also comes with no sauce.
Very cozy place in a traditional japanese house with argentinian food and eclectic music.
