About
Based in Gumbaynggirr Country, Antonella established Flortanica, a floral studio specialising in fresh and dried flowers and foliage. Before relocating from Sydney, she undertook formal studies at Pearsons School of Floristry, where earning a Certificate III in Floristry marked the beginning of her evolving artistic journey.
With over 30 years of experience as an educator, Antonella infuses her work with both knowledge and artistry, creating for retail spaces, galleries and bespoke pieces. She also offers floral workshops, where she shares her knowledge and love for botanical designs.
Deeply influenced by nature, contemporary art and fashion, her creative journey is continually shaped by her appreciation of fresh flowers and the guidance of inspiring growers and florists. While dried and preserved flowers are her primary materials, Antonella loves to experiment with various mediums and incorporate unexpected elements to create unique, timeless designs.
