I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with mine and my partners recent stay at Hotel Amic Horizonte. Unfortunately, our experience was far below the standards we expected.

During our stay, we discovered ants in our room, which was both unpleasant and unacceptable. When we reported the issue to reception, we were informed that this was to be expected due to the hotel being “surrounded by nature.” This explanation was not only inaccurate, as the property is located in an urban area with artificial grass and little natural greenery, but also dismissive of the actual issue in that no apology was given.

To make matters worse, the receptionist called ‘Julian’ who we had the unpleasurable experience of speaking with was rude and unhelpful. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, we were blamed for leaving food out, which added to our frustration. As paying guests, we should not be held accountable for a pest problem in your facilities. We have stayed in many hotels in very rural areas and have never encounted pest issues.

The receptionist said housekeeping would clean the room however when we returned  to our room we found dead ants on the floor and some that were alive on the floor and the bed. We also found the room to be cold as our key card had been removed and therefore the electric had not been on all day.
This is ironic as previously Julian from reception had said that morning that ‘food should not be left out and should just be in the fridge’ however due to the keycard being removed the food we did have in the fridge had been in a warm fridge all day and as it was meat could not be eaten due to risk.

I believe it is the responsibility of the hotel to maintain a clean and pest-free environment for its guests. The lack of customer care and dismissive attitude I experienced were highly disappointing.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel. Was totally ripped off for the price we paid but that’s my fault for booking late. |It’s definitely 3 star. Beds are terrible and you can literally hear people in the room next to you. Did not have one decent night sleep. Breakfast was okay but check your cutlery before eating. A lot of it was dirty. |The location is reasonable but if you are not fit you will need taxis . |We used buses which were great. The bus stop across the road or down the street about 6 mins walk away. |It also looks closed in the evening. All the other hotels near by are lit up and look lovely but this one looks closed. |If you are confident on an e bike then I would suggest hiring one. They are brilliant and reception will tell you were to go for them. Check the price on the hotel website though because it was wrong when we went to hire them. It was more !

Amazing Stay with a Stunning View and Outstanding Service!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, with a breathtaking view that made every morning special. Waking up to such a stunning panorama was truly unforgettable!

A special mention goes to Agostina at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. From restaurant recommendations to organizing activities, she made sure our stay was seamless and stress-free. Her warm and welcoming attitude made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

The hotel itself offers excellent amenities, and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, great hospitality, and an unforgettable experience. I will definitely be coming back!
