The fellowship honors the life, values, and legacy of Emily Michelle Loubiere and will focus on expanding long-term, trauma-informed support for individuals before and after their release from prison.

A St. James Parish man, who has been imprisoned at the Louisiana State Penitentiary for more than three decades and had his conviction and sentence vacated last year, has had bail set at $1 million. It likely means he’ll remains incarcerated for the foreseeable future, according to his attorneys.
