Jedi Training Workshop for Children
Jedi Training Workshop for Children
Come and join us at Lynn Museum, young Padawan, and learn the power of the Force in a 90 minute workshop! You will be trained by Obi-wannabe Kenobi in the use of light-sabres, blasters, X-wing fighters as well as strengthening your mind and body to better use the force. "Do or do not. There is no try!" £5 per child, accompanying adults free. Booking is required as spaces are limited. Recommended for ages 6-12. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Pewter Pilgrims Workshop for Adults
Pewter Pilgrims Workshop for Adults
Join Lynn Museum's Pewter Pilgrims workshop for adults! Spend the morning learning about the many pilgrimage souvenirs dropped into the River Great Ouse during the Medieval period and have a go at creating and casting your own pewter souvenirs. Then in the afternoon, go on a Pilgrimage Walking Tour around King's Lynn with a Town Guide. Workshop includes museum admission.

Mini Museum Early Years Sessions
Once a month*, under 5s and their families are invited to explore Lynn Museum with a variety of activities, trails, songs, games and stories. These sessions have a different theme each month, and are specially designed for early years learning, allowing young children the chance to explore the museum in their own way. 50p per child, accompanying adults free. Booking is recommended as places are limited. Thursday 20 November - Winter Animals Thursday 18 December - Christmas Thursday 15 January - Colours Thursday 19 March - The Farmyard Thursday 16 April - Shops *Please note, there will no Mini Museum session in February due to half-term.

Guided Tour: Introduction to Seahenge
To celebrate National Lottery Open Week, Lynn Museum will be running an 'Introduction to Seahenge' tour on Saturday 7 March. 'Seahenge' is a remarkable 4,000-year-old timber circle, preserved in the sand on the Norfolk Coast until it's excavation in 1998. The short tour is designed for all levels of knowledge, so whether this is your first encounter with Seahenge, or you're returning to learn more, all are welcome. Please note that the 11am slot is now full, however tickets are still available for the 2-3pm tour.

Finds Day at Lynn Museum
Have you found something interesting like a metal object, coin, piece of pottery or flint? Bring it along to show us! The Finds Identification and Recording Service from Norfolk County Council will be at the Museum to take a look at your material and talk to you about recording. Your chosen booking slot lasts for 2 hours (11am-1pm or 2pm-4pm) and you are welcome to arrive at any time during the 2 hour period. Please note that the beginning of the time slots tend to busier.
