What is the most common first name in Brussels? What do you doodle while talking on the phone, and what might that reveal about your identity? These are just some of the questions that make the MigratieMuseumMigration in Molenbeek such a fascinating space, one that celebrates Brussels’ diversity and the countless stories of those who shape it, including children with migration backgrounds.

Amazing museum!
This place explores the importance and history of migration.
There's very little information available in English, but it's still very interesting and touching. There are displays from all kinds of countries, as well as an exhibition about refugees travelling by boat, which includes several video interviews documenting a very personal story.
Beautiful and emotional.

On peut reconnaître la belle intention de départ de ceux qui, sur fonds propres( du moins je suppose) ont initié la création de ce musée,  avec de toute évidence,  un budget très modeste. Un tel sujet mériterait d'être pleinement soutenu par les autorités publiques afin d'en faire, comme c'est le cas à Paris, un beau musée richement documenté et dont les périodes abordées seraient basées sur une museographie digne de ce nom. C'est malheureusement tout l'inverse ici,  vu le peu de moyens finançant ce lieu, qui ressemblerait à s'y méprendre à un site d'exposition temporaire dans un bâtiment inapproprié pour accueillir une thématique qui mérite une place autrement plus importante. Le résultat est donc décevant, malgré tous les efforts déployés et basés sur une optimalisation des moyens disponibles, et suscitant cependant un début de réflexion sur les conditions terribles auxquelles doivent faire face certains migrants. On  ne peut que souhaiter un afflux de moyens pour donner ses lettres de noblesse à un musée traitant d'un sujet qui le mérite amplement.
