4/5: It’s crazy to think that this classic literature was inspired by researchers who experimented on corpses in the 1800s. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is a heart-wrenching but thought-provoking tale because it raises a lot of questions when it comes to the relentless pursuit of scientific advancements that go against nature. 5/5: Power, Politics, and Propaganda. From animal versus man to animal versus animal, Orwell’s use of anthropomorphism in this novel is a very ingenious depiction of corruption and tyranny in a society’s government. The themes in this book are not the most light-hearted thing to digest but the satire narration gives a compelling illustration of political issues that may still be observed today.
