Old Father Thames: Walking from Source to City
Old Father Thames: Walking from Source to City
In the summer of 2023, my father and I walked the length of the River Thames, along the Thames Path from the source in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, to the Tidal Barrier in Woolwich, East London.

Hello! My name is Morgan Haigh, I'm an Art Historian from the UK. I studied History of Art at the world-famous Courtauld Institute of Art in London as an undergraduate and returned for an MA in Modernism. I now write and teach about art and its history around the UK, leading courses for beginners and experts alike and presenting special lectures on subjects such as the history of exhibitions or the lives of individual artists. For several years I was a guide at Cardiff Castle and have previously led tours at the National Gallery, Tate Britain, National Gallery of Art Washington DC, and the V&A. I recently appeared on the BBC’s ‘University Challenge’ in 2019/20. For more about me, please see my website!
