Hello! We are Project Inclusivity Works! from OnePeople.sg Model United Nations (OPMUN). We wish to shine light on misconceptions people may have about our fellow Singaporeans of other races or ethnicities. To do this, we will be organising a virtual dialogue session with volunteers from OnePeople.sg on the 25th of November, from 2.15pm to 4.00pm (GMT +8). We hope that you will be able to join us for an interesting and enriching session! Through this dialogue, you would have the opportunity to meet new people, discuss racial and religious issues, as well as clarify misconceptions in the various breakout rooms. You would definitely leave this dialogue understanding more about racial and religious issues. We hope to see you there!

Hi everyone! We are Project Employment Doesn't Separate! Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in Singapore, racism against the migrant workers residing in the foreign worker dormitories in Singapore has worsened. It is most disheartening to note that much of this stigma is also compounded by negative sentiments regarding their race. These fault lines have been ingrained in our society for some time but the pandemic has highlighted them. Through this dialogue, we aim to better understand how migrant workers feel and how we can do better as a society. We will even be graced with a volunteer from ItsRainingRaincoats, an organisation aimed to improve the lives of migrant workers in Singapore!

Some of us have had the misfortune to sit through the insensitive video of the two women in an F45 studio wishing, "hAPPY dEePAVaLI!" while shaking their head side-to-side, presumably to poke fun at someone else from a minority race's culture and practice. These are some of the incidents that our minorities have to go through in this country. Precisely because racism in Singapore seems to be ever-prevalent, we hope to have a ground-zero discussion, particularly on the representation of different races in media. This session will be held on 27th November, 10.30am - 12.15pm. We hope to see you there :-)
